The jaws are steplessly adjustable over the full chucking range.

Operation Precision Combination lathe chucks Wescott System:

The hard base jaws and hard top jaws can be adjusted simultaneously or centrally as in Cushman chucks with the additional advantage of adjusting the hard top jaws individually by turning an adjusting spindle located between the base and top jaws.
